Student Orientation
Every fall, the Off Campus Student Life office coordinates a series of orientation sessions for students living off campus.
All undergraduate students living off campus are required to attend the annual Off Campus Orientation.
Orientation sessions go over all of the information that students need to live safely and responsibility off campus. Much of that information is replicated on this website. This information includes dealing with your landlord, safety in the local neighborhoods, noise and alcohol rules, relationships with your neighbors, and keeping a safe and secure house. Representatives from Student Affairs, DPS, MPD and more join Off Campus Student Life in presenting this material.
Each fall a number of sessions offering the same material will be offered, and students living off campus will be notified via e-mail of the various available times so that they can select one that fits into their schedules. Students who fail to attend a session will be blocked from registering for classes for the next semester. Attendance is taken at the end of each session.
